How to remove Digstar virus. Stop search redirect

Digstar redirect virus is a browser hijacker that will point your Google search results and other web links to http://Digstar.com or Digstar.net or even another website of its network. The Digstar search will modify your browser settings without your permission and knowledge and then it will forcibly take you to unwanted webpages. Additionally it will bring Digstar pop-up ads to promote its third parties` content. Usually the Digstar.com virus type infections are considered adware and they are bundled as toolbars or plugin with free-ware software available on Internet. Once installed, the Digstar virus will overwrite your homepage and search engine URL with its own links. How to uninstall Digstar search
Remove toolbars, plugins, extensions, add-ons
Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox users:
Go to TOOLS and then click MANAGE ADD-ON, From there, select Extensions, Toolbars and remove the Digstar search if found. Make sure Google is set as default search Provider.
Google Chrome Users:
Click SETTINGS icon and select SETTINGS, then open Extensions, toolbar, search provider options, remove the Digstar search if listed there. Make sure Google is set as default search Provider.
Uninstall from Control Panel
Open CONTROL PANEL, then ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS or “Programs and Features”, now lookup for Digstar search and uninstall if it is listed.
How to delete Digstar search manually:

Delete files:
Open then following folders or search for Digstar search in My Computer and delete if found files associated with this bug.
