Remove MediaGet virus. How to get rid of toolbar

The MediaGet virus is a deceptive browser toolbar / plugin which can be installed to Firefox and Chrome type browsers without your awareness. It offers various free media services such as free TV online etc but in fact the MediaGet virus is an adware that will bring alot of unwanted ads on your computer. It is used to spread paid content/commercials (spam). Consuming your system resources, MediaGet toolbar virus will make your computer slower and may even cause it to crash again and again. Another disadvantage of having this bug is threat of being hacked. the MediaGet virus can steal your private information and upload it to a remote server. How to uninstall MediaGet toolbar
Remove toolbars, plugins, extensions, add-ons
Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox users:
Go to TOOLS and then click MANAGE ADD-ON, From there, select Extensions, Toolbars and remove the MediaGet toolbar if found. Make sure Google is set as default search Provider.
Google Chrome Users:
Click SETTINGS icon and select SETTINGS, then open Extensions, toolbar, search provider options, remove the MediaGet toolbar if listed there. Make sure Google is set as default search Provider.
Uninstall from Control Panel
Open CONTROL PANEL, then ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS or “Programs and Features”, now lookup for MediaGet toolbar and uninstall if it is listed.
How to delete MediaGet toolbar manually:
If the malware did not go away after uninstall procedure, try these steps. Please note, the manual removal method is a bit complex and it can go wrong if you perform its tasks incorrectly. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System “DisableTaskMgr” = 1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system “DisableTaskMgr” = 1
Delete files:
Open then following folders or search for MediaGet toolbar in My Computer and delete if found files associated with this bug.
